With Yorkshire moving into Tier 3 there will be no more live performance for a while. But throughout the pandemic, Yorkshire theatre companies have been extraordinarily creative in their efforts to serve their audience.

  1. Perform Your Own Version Of The Little Mermaid

    Hull-based Middle Child Theatre supply everything you need to get started with your own at-home panto. They supply the script, music downloads (actually pop hits on Spotify) and general advice. You supply energy, imagination and a willingness to be silly. Full marks, Middle Child! Ongoing, free.

  2. Listen To A Story Together

    The Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield, have launched LBTV Storytime on YouTube. They’re a mixed bag of short video performances but hidden amongst them are gems from professional storyteller Robin Simpson. Check out: The Unluckiest Man In The World, Dr Seuss favourite Green Eggs And Ham and Lazy Jack. Ongoing, free.
