A short What’s On this week, as researching and writing that Challenor piece (It’s Not A Bug… It’s A Feature, published on Wednesday) took a lot out of me. Three people unsubscribed. That’s fine. Not everybody wants stuff like that in their inbox. But one wrote an abusive email about my “sickening” “trans hatred”. When I responded that all my facts checked out, she replied: “I don’t give a shit. Take me off your list and don’t contact me again.”

She adopted this tone from her official email account at her organisation. But also, it seems that what she really cares about is preserving her world view from disturbing facts. Shouldn’t she instead be engaging with the reality that a person who has so far notched up deep life involvement with not one but two sadistic paedophiles was on Stonewall’s trans advisory panel?
