York Theatre Royal Calls For Artists
Plus details of two big shows opening on line this week, three workshops and a couple of job opportunities
It’s been a good week. The highlight was interviewing musical theatre star Anna-Jane Casey over Zoom on Monday morning, soon after she’d dropped her children off for their first day back in school. AJ, as she is known, is one of the actresses delivering monologues in Sheffield Theatre’s upcoming musical show The Band Plays On (Mar 15-28, £15 & £20). She was so positive and full of energy — and had some forthright things to say about the lack of government support for theatre, and theatre people, during lockdown.
